book movies

So, while I am watching New Moon I got to thinking about books that get turned into movies. They're either really good or really bad.

Let's start with Twilight. It had the potential to be a really good movie. But instead it looked really bad. I mean it was blue for goodness sake. Who wants to watch a movie that's blue. I mean I went and saw it a bunch of times in theatres and who knows how many times, but the more I watch it the worse it gets. But thankfully New Moon got better. So, I am hoping that as they go along they will just continually get better.

Now Dear John that was a good book to movie. It had most of the same story with only a few changes that didn't change the story too much. And they had a good script and director who knew what they were doing when they made the movie.

Even though Vampire Diaries is a show not a movie I'm gonna include it anyway. Now, I love the books and the show, but other than the characters and the main premise they are nothing the same. The books focus mainly on the love triangle between Elena, Stefan, and Damon, while the show doesn't have that. But by doing them differently they made it to where you could have almost two different stories for the characters to choose which one you like the best.

Since the Last Song hasn't been released yet I can't really comment on how it actually is, but from the commercials, clips, and things I've read it seems that the movie has followed the book pretty good so I am very excited to see how the final movie comes out. Another book that will be interesting to see is The Hunger Games. It's not supposed to come out until 2011, but they could either make it a really good movie or it could turn out horribly wrong in which case I would probably cry. Not really, but I would be really mad at whoever made it. What book to movies do you really like or despise?

So, we all know what Friday/Saturday was right? New Moon! And guess who braved all the crazies at Wal-Mart at midnight to go get it? Yep, me, Chelsea, and Sarah put our safety at risk to go get it.

But when we got it and watched it we discovered that it did not have deleted scenes! You can imagine our disappointment. But then me and Chelsea came up with the most brilliant plan the next day. Since we each bought one and we didn't open mine. I will return mine and ordered the one from Target with the deleted scenes so she will have the copy with the Eclipse scene and I will have the copy with deleted scenes. I know right, great plan.

But that night while wasting time waiting for midnight we discovered the most amazing song. It's called "I'm Awesome" and it's by Spose. I think everyone should listen to it because it's hilarious and AWESOME!!!

sometimes goodbye is a second chance

Well I know that I have neglected this blog, but I just don't really have anything to actually blog about. My life is pretty much boring and uneventful.  And until things pick up in my life there will probably be very few posts.  But I decided that I should post about something tonight.  At first I couldn't think of anything good to write about and really still haven't, so as Mitchell Davis will do I'm just gonna wing it and see what comes to my mind as I go.  So I have sit here for like literally 10 min. just trying to come up with something to blog about and since I can come up with no other ideas I shall tell of a few things that I am obsessed with at the moment.

I am absolutely in love with this song. I listen to it everyday.

It's just one of those fun danc-y songs like Party in the USA.

Toms

I love my Toms and I wear them all the time.

They're pretty gross from me wearing them all the time.

But they are just too dang comfy not too.

And for every pair you buy they give a pair to a child in need.

So I feel good knowing that because I bought some comfy shoes and poor did too.

Vampire Diaries

Now I'm not just talking about the show, which at this point is my very favorite, but also the books

I read the first two in like two days. It was ridiculous.

The two are so different though that it's almost like you're reading something different just with the same names.

But if you haven't read the books or seen the show you need to right now.

New Moon

I know I didn't tell you about my wonderful experiences with New Moon.

Well I have gone three times and all were absolutely amazing.

It was a million times better than Twilight, which to be honest is a pretty bad movie.

I loved how it turned out.
